rob, thanks for the input. i agree, shouldn't be too hard.

another question for everyone, do we want to require a valid email for 
uploads? php can check an email address to make sure it actually exists 
by checking the MX record, and of course can check it's formatted 
properly as well. just working on it now and that thought came to me so 
let me know what everyone thinks of that.
