Don't forget that some projects (GWare) have "unobtrusive" Gnome
packages ready for Slackware... and GWare in particular properly makes
all their sources available, including SlackBuilds.  They don't have
packages/scripts for 11.0, and it looks to me like their stuff is still
Gnome 2.12, but perhaps you could look at some of their scripts for help
getting things to build.  I'm of the understanding that Gnome and its
libs can sometimes be problematic.

Again, there's no dependency checking, so it may be a slippery
dependency slope getting things to build, but GWare or one of the other
Gnome projects' scripts might be worth looking at.

haven't checked it):
