Hi Daniel,

(Phew, now *that* was a fast response!)

 From the usbmount website: "Users which would like an icon to appear 
when an USB device is plugged in should use the pmount and hal packages 
instead."

Doesn't look like Thunar would work with usbmount... or did you try that?
