[Slackbuilds-users] Checking Dependencies

I'm not sure if slapt-get can be used with SlackBuilds, but I'm not
slapt-get user so I wouldn't be the best person to ask. I have used apt
before (not sure if they pull packages the same), and from what I know about
that you may be able to create a meta package of sorts that pulls all the
dependencies for the slackbuild and then runs the slackbuild as the
doinst.sh file.
That sounds awefully messy to me though, and I'm not sure it would work.
You may want to take a look at Arch Linux <http://archlinux.org>. Its
package manager handles dependancies, and has a SlackBuild like build
system<http://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/ABS>that may be closer to
what you're looking for. The distro is similar to
Slackware and I hear it's insanely fast.
