Gentoo has a bison patch, it is a pretty basic patch and could probably
be done with sed:
http://mirror.hamakor.org.il/pub/mirrors/gentoo-portage/games-roguelike/nethack/files/3.4.3-bison.patch

Looks like it works around this exact issue, shouldn't be too hard to
adapt.
I'm at work now, so haven't tested, don't know if the patch applied as
is will conflict with one of the
other patches for those sources.
