Interesting; probably the best thing to do is "don't do that"
in the build scripts (i.e. hardcode the names of the doc files).
I've tried to fix those as I come across them, but perhaps I
forget sometimes...

I don't think we really have a policy on that, and since it's a
"once in a blue moon" type of occurrence, probably we don't need
one.  That being said, I suspect it would fall under the "you've
been warned" category, which doesn't imply that we shouldn't fix
it if possible.
