I understand that the project has stalled. It has spawned off Umplayer,
which is a fork of Smplayer with the additional functionality of showing
Youtube videos as well. I have taken that up as my default media player.
Unfortunately in SlackBuildLand, they have the previously discussed
problem of delivering snapshots, not stable tarballs.
