Hi,

I (maintainer of the Transmission SlackBuild) use it on Slackware64
all the time and never had a crash.
Did you use the new libevent?
Any hint on where exactly it crashes?

If 2.33 solves it for you, I might submit a newer SlackBuild with the
version bump...
