I don't have time right now to look in detail, but ...

Make sure you install all of the dependencies in the READMEs,
starting from the "top". (or bottom depending how you look at it)

libsigc++ << glibmm << libxml++

Hmmm. maybe mm-common is needed too ?

Anyways, verify you have a full install of 13.37, and
and the dependency SBo packages are installed, and at the 
latest version. 

Report back if that doesn't work.
