[Slackbuilds-users] how do I enable the java plugin?

Since this thread has been happening, I've become so paranoid about java that I'm scared to click on the "Test the version of Java your browser is using" link on that page. Its clearly going to exercise my browser's java plugin (if installed) and if that is such a security swiss cheese the link may do much more than just check the java version. Anyone can set up a web site claiming to be a goodie - thats what I'd do ...
