Not sure if there's a policy per se, but there's a precedent. I
submitted audio/transcribe a couple years ago. It's closed source
commercial software that works for 30 days only, unless you buy a
license... at which point you just enter the license key in the app
(no need to rebuild the slack package or reinstall).
Slackware itself still has xv, closed-source image viewer, but it's
fully functional (license says "Shareware, free for personal use only").
