I think there is a small typo in the SlackBuild:
PRGNAM=nvidia-driver
VERSION=${VERSION:-340.24}
MVERS=331
BUILD=${BUILD:-1}
TAG=${TAG:-_SBo}
CPROXY=${CPROXY:-no}

Shouldn't that be MVERS=340 ?
