I am the current maintainer of dvdauthor.  Since I use various frontends
for dvdauthor, and I have not observed any issues, this patch is a bit
much for me to test and verify.

Nothing you patched involved compiling and packaging on Slackware.  They
look like bug fixes and feature improvements.  I suggest you send them
to the upstream developers. Development is still on going, if a bit slow.
