This is actually a fix which has broken other things :-)

On the Apcupsd mailing list, I've followed up the issue of the Slackware 
scripts having lock files in "/var/lock/subsys", which appears to be 
specific to Redhat. They've been very receptive and kindly patched the 
Slackware scripts. However, this seems to have broken the current SBo 
script when applied to the the new Apcupsd (3.14.13).
