I'm not sure what you mean, the autotools template has a similar comment.
The example flags there are much more standard though. Different cmake
flags come in all the time. ~2 weeks ago we could have changed the
template to these:

There are plenty of examples in the repo of why no set of cmake flags
will be definitive.
