It's been awhile since I played with slacko and derivs, but I recall that
slacko puppy has its own package management system. slacko is "binary
compatible" with Slackware (as of whatever version it's based on), but that
does not mean you can make Slackware packages from source.

Thus, if you want to create a Slackware binary Package (tar.gz or tar.xz),
you need Slackware to create it from the Slackbuilds.org (SBo) scripts.
Then you can install that binary using the slacko package tools.  You

other slackware binary repos.

Finally, the SBo scripts expect that you have:
1.  A full Slackware install - any compile dependencies not listed are
expected to be already installed by default.
2.  Slackware's package tools package
3.  The script needs to be run as the root user.
