Not sure if it helps, but these are the dependencies

bash-4.2# getpkgs -o test -t shared -grH tweepy
tweepy
   pip
     pysetuptools
   requests-oauthlib
     python-requests
     python-oauthlib
       pysetuptools
       pycrypto
   six

builds fine (on 64 bit with multilib installed...)
