I included such a note in the README when I first submitted the
SlackBuild for Blender (built from source code), since it was added some
time after the blender SlackBuild (repackaged binary). However that
section was cut from the version that was finally published - I guess
because the additional notes contained a lot of extra stuff about how to
build for maximum functionality (some of which impinged on some
SlackBuilds). Perhaps I should update Blender's README with a minimal
note about its difference from the blender SlackBuild; then some other
file about build optimisations.
