[Slackbuilds-users] webcore-fonts: incorrect Symbol font

Hi,

This problem has been coming and going as I play with the fonts.
It's about badly rendered symbols in PDF documents.

It seems that I finally understand what is the cause.

Basically, the Symbol font in webcore-fonts package has wrong mappings.

There are multiple possible solutions:
a) remove the font from the package,
b) create additional rules in /etc/font not to use the Symbol font,
c) fix the font with fontforge (?).

Most probably, fixing the font with fontforge would be the most 
desirable solution.
Unfortunately I have 0 experience in this tool, so if there's someone 
knowledgeable, could you please have a look?
