Andrzej,

can you please try if this patched version of the SlackBuild (where I
merely followed the steps descripted in the bug report you noted)
solves your problem?

P.S. consider that a different symbol.ttf font is also present in
every c:/Windows/Fonts/ directory, so you can also try that if you
have it available (but unfortunately I think it cannot be
redistributed).
