I didn't ever had this error, please check if you have these packages 
installed:
cairo,fftw,fontconfig,freeglut,freetype,gc,gcc,gcc-g++,gd,ghostscript,glibc-solibs,glu,gmp,gsl,icu4c,libX11,libXaw,libXi,libXmu,libXpm,libXt,libpng,libsigsegv,mesa,mpfr,ncurses,pixman,poppler,zlib

Then try again with ./texlive.SlackBuild 2>&1 | tee build-texlive.log
and send me the log.
