[Slackbuilds-users] Is building packages using fakeroot safe?

Hi,

I would like to ask you, if building packages within fakeroot is safe?
What I mean is, have you ever encountered any problem, e.g. a package 
with wrong permissions or something like that?

I've been testing fakeroot for a while and so far haven't observed any 
obvious problems.

I know that Buildroot (https://buildroot.org/) is using fakeroot to 
generate the whole root file system and this project has a lot of eyes 
looking into it, so I assume it's working fine.

Based on that, I assume it works fine for building Slackware packages too.
