Looks like zdoom development has ended, https://zdoom.org/News says:

"I am hereby eschewing further ZDoom development. There will be no
future releases."

So, could you update your build to the last version, 2.8.1? It's been
4.5 years since you last updated it (in July of 2012). After updating
to 2.8.1 it should never need another version update...
