I'm also very happy to see SBo cited in a scientific publication in an
important journal, thank you Petar!

As for "open access journal", in such journals the authors pay for
publications, for example, $1790 for a paper in this journal
https://www.nature.com/srep/about/article-processing-charges
One among many bad consequences of such approach is that authors from
poor University (e.g., from a poor country) must have a coauthor from a
rich University.
