This is something I hope everyone will find useful.
On the main slackbuilds.org page, there's now a link to "Advanced Search".
Clicking the link will give you documentation on what the new search
types are for, so I won't copy/paste that here. Its main purpose is
the reverse dependency search, which will allow you to easily check to
see what builds depend on yours.
It's been a chronic problem at SBo: someone updates a build, without
checking to see whether the update breaks anyone else's build. This tool
will help you avoid doing that.
Before you update a build, *please* take the time to either check that
your update doesn't break anything that depends on it, or at least send a
heads-up to the maintainers of those builds so they can do some checking
of their own.
Also, you might do a Maintainer search on "orphaned", to find builds
that need a home.
