Alessandro, unfortunately xfce4-docklike-plugin is slightly "buggy", as you can also see from the project issues:

Hi, I encountered a problem using docklike plugin on AlmaLinux OS 9.2. I cannot pin Thunderbird icon on the bar (see the attachment)

I can tell you how I fixed it when I get the problem.

The first thing is to open the program, suppose Thunderbird.
Then, from the terminal, give the command:
  xlsclients | grep thunderbird

You will see a result like this:
slack64 thunderbird-default

"slack64" is the name of my PC, while "thunderbird-default" is what the Thunderbird window is called.
Now you need to copy the Thunderbird desktop file to your local directory and rename it with the name you just displayed, with the command:
  cp /usr/share/applications/mozilla-thunderbird.desktop ~/.local/share/applications/thunderbird-default.desktop
At this point you should be able to add the Thunderbird icon to the dock.

This works for me, I hope it works for you too.

Hi Marco,
I've installed xfce4-docklike-plugin and added docklike to a panel. I
noticed that I cannot pin Firefox and Mozilla Thunderbird and when I run
them, the relative icon are replaced by a "gear" icon.

How can I help to solve this problem?
