Hi Will,

As the maintainer of this package (atm at version 2.5.1) for
SlackBuilds.org, can I ask whether you have built this before? (I am
just curious as I am not using it a lot and it would be good to have
some feedback)

I assume that the compilation works but that the error appears at the
end of the built, which would be very frustrating;
That error possibly relates to these lines in the SlackBuild:

#####

# re-organise info files the Slackware/SBo way
mkdir $PKG/usr/info/
rm $PKG/usr/share/info/dir
#gzip and move info file
gzip -9 $PKG/usr/share/info/*.info
mv $PKG/usr/share/info/*.info* $PKG/usr/info/
rmdir $PKG/usr/share/info

#####

I tend to test-run the script with `sh Vienna.Slackbuild` and
this builds a package with the below core-structure; the
'usr/info' section is the result of above lines (the original,
compiled package puts the info in '/usr/share/info'):

./
install/
install/slack-desc
usr/
usr/bin/ [loads of programs]
usr/doc/
usr/doc/ViennaRNA-2.5.1/
usr/include/ [loads of .h files also is sub-folders)
usr/include/ViennaRNA/
usr/info/
usr/info/RNAlib.info.gz
usr/lib/
usr/lib/libg2.a
usr/lib64/
usr/lib64/libRNA.a
usr/lib64/perl5/
usr/lib64/pkgconfig/
usr/lib64/pkgconfig/RNAlib2.pc
usr/lib64/python3.9/
usr/lib64/python3.9/site-packages/
usr/lib64/python3.9/site-packages/RNA/
usr/man/
usr/share/
usr/share/ViennaRNA/
usr/share/ViennaRNA/examples/
usr/share/ViennaRNA/tutorial/
usr/share/ViennaRNA/viennarna.bib
usr/share/perl5/

Slackware package /tmp/ViennaRNA-2.5.1-x86_64-1_SBo.tgz created.

This seems to work at my end. And the command `info RNAlib` gives the
info entry for ViennaRNA.

Can you maybe explain how you built the package at your end? Is it
possible that the build did not complete, say because the tmp-folder
was filled up and
'/tmp/SBo/package-ViennaRNA/usr/share/info/dir' was never created to
begin with?

Cheers,

Rob
