Was that you asking on IRC?
If not... apparently mpv has problems with x265 4.0. But, don't know
the details.
It'd be nice if there was a comment in the script explaining *why* it
was downgraded. All we've got is the git log:

Your mission, should you choose to accept it, is to clone the repo,
do a 'git checkout 585c6dda' (to get the x265 4.0 build). Build
x265, install it, then build/install mpv's deps, then mpv itself.
If it fails to compile, post the build log here.
If it does compile, try using mpv to play a file encoded with the
H.265 HEVC codec, and see if it plays correctly.
Alternatively, if you can't/won't do the work, you could ask Chris
Willing, maintainer of mpv, to take a look at it.
Or you could wait 3 or 4 days, and I'll have time to mess with it
myself. Probably. If I remember to. mpv and x265 aren't my builds, I'm
just the 'repo fixer-upper' whenever I can be.
