[Slackbuilds-users] Audacity?

Hello,

The current Slackbuild is for Audacity 3: 
https://slackbuilds.org/repository/15.0/audio/audacity/
But in each upgrade, more and more functions of the program stop working.
The latest official version is Audacity 3.7, but there are already lots 
of complaints:

The latest Audacity 2 version in the Slackbuild is 2.4.1 . There is a 
2.4.2 version (https://github.com/audacity/audacity/releases?page=5)
Trying to build 2.4.1 and 2.4.2 both give errors related to wxWidgets.

Is it possible to bring back the Audacity 2 Slackbuild, maybe as a 
separate "audacity2" Slackbuild (if it's possible to get it to build)?

Or, does anyone know a good audio editing alternative that would be 
usable on Slackware?
