Confirmed, I get the same thing (minus the mention of zsh) here. That's
with xdotool-4.20251130.1.

I use Slackware 15.0 with WindowMaker. I also tried it in XFCE and got
the same result.

I also tried downgrading xdotool to 3.20211022.1 and still got the
same result. Since it's an example copied straight from the man
page, I have to assume it worked at one time, in *some* version of
xdotool...  so you might call it a regression if you report it.
