gnucash could actually be compiled with webkit2gkt4.1 without problem.

So far for a very limited set of packages I used that depend on webkit2gtk,
I always compile them against webkit2gtk4.1 without problem.

You may try if your pkg could be compiled and running fine with
webkit2gtk4.1 .
