I'm having major problems with GDM, I simply can't login.<br>

<br>

A message-box appears saying the X session lasted for less than 5

seconds. It offers to display ~/.xsession-errors, but the file is empty!<br>

<br>

And with SLiM I grab an annoying message on tty6 every now or then:<br>

<em>Init</em>: <em>id</em> "<em>x1</em>" <em>respawning too fast</em>:

disabled for 5 minutes<br>
