It does print without those (just tested, Xfce slac64 multilib). BUT<br>
print preview tries to fire up evince and when that failed, calibre<br>

geany: more IDE bells and whistles than medit, more geared to code than<br>

mousepad: based on leafpad but designed for Xfce. I haven't used it in<br>
ages, but worth a try. It seems to be getting some new attention on<br>

Thanks a lot for all the details. I remember having tried out Mousepad a while ago, and it had some horrible bugs in it. I know Geany quite well, but I think it goes beyond a simple text editor for Joe User. I'll give MEdit a spin.<span class="im HOEnZb"><br>
