Again, not offering to take over maintenance, but I did decide to
look at the upstream revisions Dominik mentioned. There is an
MP3Diags-unstable-1.5.02 version available. I was able to modify the
previous SlackBuild by changing the package name to
MP3Diags-unstable, the version number to 1.5.02, changing qmake to
qmake-qt5, lrelease to lrelease-qt5, and finally in the copying
stage changing README.TXT to README.md. At that point, the new
version built, installed, and ran - and I uninstalled qt-4 to make
sure.<br>

The MP3Diags-unstable name is hard-coded into the source, so my
simple changes needed to use that for the package name. That meant
'upgradepkg' did not recognize it as a replacement for the earlier
install of MP3Diags, so I did a removepkg followed by an upgradepkg
--install-new.<br>
<br>
There is probably a better way to handle the odd '-unstable'
package name in the source, but at least this indicates that the
basic source code is manageable.<br>
