<div style="font-family: Arial, sans-serif; font-size: 14px;"></div><span></span><span>Hi everyone,</span><div><br></div><div><span>This is the last weekly cycle in which I will maintain/update SlackBuilds.</span></div><div><span>I will no longer do so from Aug 15 onwards.</span></div><div><br></div><div><span>I previously said that I would no longer maintain SlackBuilds last Christmas, but I kept continuing to do so.</span></div><div><span>Sorry about that - the main reason was that getting LXQt to v2 was less stressful than I initially thought (which prompted me to make that claim last Christmas).</span></div><div><br></div><div><span>I mean it this time.</span></div><div><span>Software (and by extension SlackBuilds) are getting more and more complicated to maintain.</span></div><div><br></div><div><span>My main motivation recently has been to prepare for a new release of Slackware (ex. 15.1, 16.0, etc.)</span></div><div><span>I'm actually using Linux Mint Debian right now as my main day-to-day operating system.</span></div><div><span>I've been testing updates through Slackware virtual machines.</span></div><div><br></div><div><span>I might return when the first alpha of the next Slackware version gets released (ex. 15.1-alpha1.)</span></div><div><br></div><div><span>To the SlackBuilds.org team:</span></div><div><span>My suggestion is to orphan my SlackBuilds only when the next version of Slackware is about to get released.</span></div><div><span>I might make a hotfix SlackBuild update even during the Slackware 15.0 cycle (ex. protobuf gets updated, making python3-grpcio unable to build.)</span></div><div><span>However, you may orphan them next week if you like.</span></div><div><br></div><span>- Isaac</span><div style="font-family: Arial, sans-serif; font-size: 14px;" class="protonmail_signature_block"><div class="protonmail_signature_block-proton"></div>
