Other lists that I'm on do this as well, and I have no problem with it 
as I'm not one of those people who uses the same password for 
everything.  If the password being mailed by the list could allow access 
to something other than the list, well...  that's not really the list's 
fault.

So, it doesn't bother me.  My two cents.
