Heinz,

   The only real difference between his script and mine is that mine allows
for different front ends (with qt4 as the default), and I prefer to have
those applications not part of the official distribution (e.g., LyX,
PostgreSQL, Postfix, OpenOffice.org) installed in /usr/local or /opt.
