Hello,

I succeeded in compiling the mod2.6.24 version as tipped by Mauro Giachero.
Thanks again Mauro for the advise.

I didn't include the compiled r8187.ko module in my package as this module is
already in the kernel (rtl8187.ko) and I only needed the module for r8180
chipset.

Now I will monitor performance (stability + logs) before I submit updated
Slackbuild.

I have a question to Slackbuid.org maintainers: Will you accept such a
Slackbuild using a modified source ? I can make the file available on my site to
ensure that link is not broken over time.

Now here are the detailed steps I took to make it work (I will put them in my
Slackbuild submission if it is accepted).

1) Moved modules mac80211.ko and ieee80211_crypt.ko files into *.bkp
2) Ran "depmod -a" (to prevent those 2 modules from being loaded at later steps)
3) Installed my package
4) Loaded modules in the following order:
	modprobe ieee80211_crypt-rtl
	modprobe ieee80211_crypt_wep-rtl
	modprobe ieee80211_crypt_tkip-rtl
	modprobe ieee80211_crypt_ccmp-rtl
	modprobe ieee80211-rtl
	modprobe r8180
5) Set up my interface as usual
6) so far so good :-)

Thank you for advise regarding Slackbuild submission.

Kind Regards,

Christophe
