Correct me if I'm wrong, but at the moment PRGNAM=ksh and
VERSION=openbsd49, and you want it to change to PRGNAM=ksh-openbsd and
VERSION=20110909, right?  If so, I don't see any problems in that.

Or you can use:

  upgradepkg oldpackagename%newpackagename
