1. Stop eclipse (if needed).
2. Go inside /opt/eclipse (as root user), rename
configuration/config.ini.new to configuration/config.ini and
eclipse.ini.new to eclipse.ini, if needed rename first
configuration/config.ini to configuration/config.ini.orig and
eclipse.ini to eclipse.ini.orig
3. Start eclipse.

Side note, i´ve made changes to eclipse and netbeans SlackBuilds [1]
to avoid this kind of issues in the future and i would recommend you
to read their README since i´ve also added some notes to configure
them by user, rather than globally.
