I managed to build it by adding:

-DCMAKE_SHARED_LINKER_FLAGS="-llenfsun"

It seems it just wasn't linking at all, even though it did detect
lensfun.

It seems the culprit is lensfun
It doesn't properly export the libs when using configure
I have spoken with the maintainer and he doesn't use it anymore, so i will be taking this package and switch to cmake

I have tested and it build properly using script stock on SBo without modification
