A couple of queries to the list:

1. Is anyone interested in having BOINC https://boinc.berkeley.edu/
added to the SBo repository? Any comments, advice, are welcome. For
example: desktop file, install to /opt or $HOME, rc.boinc, etc.

2. They seem to have dropped their tarball snapshot download
locations, or at least I can no longer find it, and they just point
everyone who wants the source to the git repository. BOINC is pushing
everyone to use their precompiled install script (UBUNTU, ugh!). I
could just repackage that, but their binary can act a bit odd on
Slackware. Compiling from source is highly recommended and preferred.
To get a source tarball for the script, I use:

# git clone git://boinc.berkeley.edu/boinc-v2.git boinc_repo
# cd boinc_repo
# git archive --format=tar --prefix Boinc-7.2.39/
client_release/7.2/7.2.39 | bzip2 > ../Boinc-7.2.39.tar.bz2

Is there an easier way? Or does anyone know of a link to the stable
snapshots?

Thanks
- -Ed
