[Slackbuilds-users] Problems with the rc.postgresql script included with Postgresql on SBo

Sebastian,

A few things changed in the rc script. Also, default database
authentication methods.

Do you have anything in /var/log/postgresql-9.3?

What's the exit code of "/etc/rc.d/rc.postgresql start" command
(run "echo $?" after)

Can you run simple commands (as root) such as:  su - postgres -c "ls /"
