UIUC is no longer the home of hdf. Home has changed to:
    https://www.hdfgroup.org/

The 1.8.13 version in the SlackBuild is available directly from:
 
http://www.hdfgroup.org/ftp/HDF5/releases/hdf5-1.8.13/src/hdf5-1.8.13.tar.bz2

However there have been updates since that was released - the latest is now:
     http://www.hdfgroup.org/ftp/HDF5/current/src/hdf5-1.8.15-patch1.tar.bz2
