[Slackbuilds-users] gdal-2.3.1 build issue

Hi All,

   I wrote to David 9 days ago about this issue and have not seen any
response; perhaps others here can help me build the latest gdal-2.3.1. The
SBo version is still 2.2.4.

   I'm having problems building rgdal and want to learn if a local gdal
upgrade from 2.3.0 to 2.3.1 will fix that problem.

   I've tried building the 2.3.1 version by changing the version number in
the script, but hit a curious problem:

...
/opt/SBo/gdal-2.3.1/install-sh -d /opt/SBo/package-gdal/usr/doc/gdal-2.3.1/gdal
cp html/*.* /opt/SBo/package-gdal/usr/doc/gdal-2.3.1/gdal
cp: cannot stat 'COMMITERS': No such file or directory

   Yet in the untarred source (gdal-2.3.1/) that file is present in the root
directory:

$ ls
COMMITTERS           apps/                 html/

   Have you any thoughts on how to get the build script to recognize that file?
