That will depend on which kernel current will end up using and whether
Nvidia provides updates for newer kernels and Mesa/xorg-server.  Right
now, given the nearly daily updates, it's not worth even testing.

Comnpiling the kernel interface is useless if the driver blob and
libraries are incompatibly with X.org.
