Do you by chance have /etc/wgetrc or ~/.wgetrc setting the user-agent
to Firefox (or Chrome, IE, etc)? Sourceforge downloads try to be
clever and redirect to an ad-laden download page if the user-agent
looks like a browser and there's no HTTP Referer.

If that's the case, you can fix it by getting rid of the wgetrc or
adding "--user-agent wget" to the wget command.
