Once you have the theme instaled into

/boot/grub/themes/slackware

(which the slackbuild does for you), you will need to edit

/etc/default/grub

to add/edit

GRUB_THEME=/boot/grub/themes/slackware/theme.txt

then run

update-grub (for one of the symlinks in s -Current)

or

grub-mkconfig -o /boot/grub/grub.cfg

Of course, this all assumes you had set up grub2 akready as your bootloader.


Works on my Macbook Pro 2017 (retina display 2560x1600) 
Slackware64-Current, but the fonts are very small (the defuat boot 
screen also).  I'll have to look into grub2 font scaling one of these days.
