I've received an answer from Alexander, and he said he won't be maintaining:

- python2-neovim
- python3-neovim
- neovim-remote

anymore - so sure enough he won't test these programs ;-)

If there's anyone interested in testing the above against updated 
version of msgpack-python,
please do and report back.
