Well, if that's a requirement, then I think I should go ahead and
say this: I don't think we'll be adding it.

I just don't see a condition where that information is needed.
When doing a system upgrade, either the package still works or
it doesn't.  If it does, then leave it alone unless you just want
a newer version.  If it doesn't, then you rebuild it, ideally
checking for a newer version upstream and/or at SlackBuilds.org.

If you have a package lying around and it's not clear what version
it was compiled for, then you need a better system of organization.
